Website Migration

Moving platforms without losing what you've already built

A migration done properly protects your search rankings, carries your content across cleanly, and leaves no broken links. Done badly, it undoes years of SEO work overnight.

We understand the full picture before anything moves.

Before any content is moved, we audit the existing site in full. Every URL, every piece of search equity and every structural decision worth carrying across. We map the competitive landscape the new site needs to perform in and understand what the rebuilt version needs to do commercially, not just technically. What is worth migrating, where the structure needs to improve and what the risks are. By the time migration begins, every decision about architecture and content has already been made. None of that gets worked out as we go.

We visit before we start. We create everything, not AI.

A migration is a chance to get the content right, not just move it across. Copy that was never quite right on the old platform will still be wrong on the new one. Before this project starts, we come to you. We understand the business properly so we can advise on what content is worth keeping, what needs updating and what should be cut. Everything written or revised for the new site comes from those conversations. Specific to your business, not assembled from a template.

Award-winning is a side effect of building things properly.

Skyrocket is a certified Webflow Partner and Shopify Partner. That matters for the same reason trade certification matters: the platform has assessed the work and confirmed it meets a standard. Beyond the certifications, the work has been recognised by FWA, Awwwards and CSSDA. Three organisations that assess build quality technically, not just visually. The awards are evidence of a standard. They tell you the build is properly done, the performance is real and the details most people never see have been taken seriously.

Your team can manage it. Without calling us.

The migrated site is on Webflow or Shopify. Both platforms have editors built for non-technical teams. Your team can update copy, swap images and publish new content without touching code or raising a support ticket. We configure the CMS around how your team actually works. Then we train your team before we hand it over. We go through it on your actual content, with the people who will be managing it, until everyone is confident. Post-launch support is available if you need it. Most clients find they don't.

How it works

1
Current site audit

Every page, URL, and piece of content catalogued before anything moves.

2
Redirect mapping

Every old URL mapped to its new equivalent and tested before launch day.

3
Content migration and build

Content moved into the new platform, structured correctly, and checked against the original.

4
Launch and SEO verification

New site launched with redirects live, Google notified, and rankings monitored in the days following.

Let's start a project

Questions we're asked alot.

Will migrating to a new platform hurt our Google rankings?

Only if it is not done properly. We catalogue every existing URL, map redirects to the new structure and test them before launch. SEO preservation is built into every migration scope. We will not launch a site that drops your existing search performance.

What platforms can you migrate from and to?

We migrate from WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Joomla, Magento, BigCommerce and custom-built platforms. The destination is always Webflow or Shopify, depending on what the business needs.

What happens to our existing content?

Every page is catalogued before we start. We assess what is worth carrying across and what should be updated or cut. Content is migrated into the new platform's structure properly, not copy-pasted and left to reformat itself.

How long does a website migration take?

Straightforward migrations typically run six to ten weeks. Larger sites with complex content structures, integrations or ecommerce data take longer. Scope and timeline are agreed before the project starts.
